Performance Project: Refund Policy

In the event that Opera Caledonia has to cancel the Performance Project, participants will receive a full refund of any participation fees paid. 

Opera Caledonia is not responsible for any additional costs that the participant may have incurred, including costs for travel and/or accommodation booked separately by the participant.

We strongly advise participants to purchase the appropriate insurance cover for any travel and/or accommodation booked in relation to the Performance Project. Travel/accommodation costs will not be reimbursed by Opera Caledonia, regardless of whether the participant withdraws from, or Opera Caledonia cancels, the project.

The creative team is subject to alteration. A suitable replacement will be provided should an advertised member of the creative team become unavailable. Both venues are subject to alteration. Refunds cannot be claimed in the event of a change to the creative team or venue(s).

Once you have confirmed your participation in the Performance Project you are deemed to have a contract with Opera Caledonia.

Under The Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a right to cancel your contract with Opera Caledonia within 14 days (known as a cooling off period), during which you will be entitled to a full refund. To cancel your contract during the cooling off period, you should do so in writing by email to operacaledonia@gmail.com.

Participants should be aware at the time of accepting their place, outwith the statutory 14 day cooling off period, there is no automatic right to cancel or refund.

Refunds are not automatically available should the participant have a change in circumstances that makes their participation in the Performance Poject difficult including illness, availability or if they simply change their mind.

Any request for a refund should be submitted in writing by email to operacaledonia@gmail.com.

Any refund of fees will be at the discretion of Opera Caledonia.

Should any refunds be awarded, a 25% administration fee of the total course fee will be charged for any refunds made outside of statutory obligations (cooling off period).

Opera Caledonia reserves the right to end their contract with the participant if the participant does not make payment to Opera Caledonia by the payment deadline or in accordance with the agreed payment plan schedule.

If Opera Caledonia ends the contract, the participant will not be entitled to a refund of any fees paid.

Where a refund is awarded at Opera Caledonia’s discretion, the refund will be made via bank transfer.

Please note it can take up to 30 days to process a refund.
