The Isle of Cumbrae is just an 8 minute ferry crossing from Largs on the Ayrshire mainland with CalMac Ferries. No advance booking is necessary on this route – simply turn up at Largs tickets office, buy a ticket and go on the next available sailing. Cars, foot passengers, cyclists, motorcycles, caravans and motor homes are all welcome onboard.

A bus service from the Cumbrae Ferry Terminal into Millport is available for those travelling as foot passengers to Cumbrae. The Cathedral is a short walk from the bus stop in Millport.

If you are travelling with an electric vehicle, two charging points are available on the Isle of Cumbrae outside the Royal George Hotel in Millport. Charging points are also available in Largs at the Largs Yacht Haven and the Vikingar Museum.

There is free parking available at the Cathedral for those travelling by car.

Largs itself is just an hour away from Glasgow by car, train or bus.

The ferry port at Largs is a short walk from the train station. Rail & Sail tickets from Glasgow to Cumbrae are available to purchase.
