Opera Caledonia is Scotland’s newest professional opera company – dedicated to presenting concerts, recitals & events across Scotland; attracting international artists to collaborate with and perform alongside Scottish based musicians whilst showcasing all that Scotland has to offer as a country and an artistic platform.

Opera Caledonia is passionate about introducing opera to new audiences alongside regular supporters of the art form, believes that opera should be accessible to a large demographic and aims to break the elitist and exclusive stereotype associated with opera.

The next generation of opera singers is as important to Opera Caledonia as the professionals of today. Providing young singers with the opportunity to learn from leading industry professionals is integral to Opera Caledonia’s vision for music in Scotland.

Opera Caledonia has already collaborated with artists such as Armenian Soprano Anush Hovhannisyan (recent engagements include Opera de Paris, The Royal Opera House Covent Garden & Welsh National Opera) and Italian conductor/pianist Maestro Leonardo Catalanotto (recent engagements include Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino & Teatro Massimo Bellini) alongside artists from Scottish Opera, English Touring Opera and The Royal Scottish National Orchestra amongst others.
